Practice Manager: Tim De Gruchy
Tim joined the Practice in September 2009, taking on the uneviable task of ensuring the smooth running of three locations and over fifty members of staff. Tim is constantly looking at ways of supporting the local animal charities on Island so if New Era can be of help please let us know.
Office Manager: Val Pedder
Val has worked at the Practice since 1992, dragging the practice accounts and office administration into the twenty first century! Without her input and application, everything would grind to a shuddering halt. She may be very much behind the scenes, but without her dedication, the Hospital could not have progressed to where it is now.
The same can be said about the rest of the office team, many of whom you will have talked to, since they are usually the first point of contact, when you phone in.
Hayley Pearl has been with the Practice since 1993. As well as the many general administration tasks she performs, she has to coordinate the visits; a thankless task thet require the skills of a top level diplomat combined with a Field Marshal!!
Caron Cook joined the Practice in 1999 and her primary role is handling the constant phone enquiries throughout the day, as well as administering the Pet Travel Scheme. Sonya Walker joined us in 2007 and handles the escalating demands of pet insurance.
Jennie Butler, Charlie Raymond (used to work in reception), Helen Dubras, Jean Fortune and Melissa Amy complete the team and Novella Brooks, juggles the demands of administration and reception at Archway.
Our Receptionists are well known to most of you.
Sarah Weepers has worked with the Practice since 1994, initially as a nurse, but since we became New Era Veterinary Hospital, she has headed the reception team. She has a particular interest in Cat Behaviour , but her experience is such that she can help and advice on virtually any veterinary matter!
Margaret Green ably supports her, having been with the Practice since 1986! As well as her reception duties, Margaret has the massive responsibility of ordering the drugs, food and supplies, that are shipped over once a week from the UK. She is known to many outside the Practice in dog breeding and showing circles as a result of the wonderful black labs she has bred over the years.
Laura Makin enhanced the reception team by joining us in 2008 and most recently, we are delighted to welcome Katarzyna Rajkowska and Sarah de la Haye to the "frontline".
At Leodis, Donna Nicolas has become an integral part of the Practice, joining us in 2000. She has had a massive role in the development of Leodis into the superbly updated facility and welcoming environment that is enjoyed by our clients in the west of the island. She is ably supported by Pru Bannier, who many will know from her time at the JSPCA. We were delighted that Pru could join us in 2008.
